    Default snug/conch/BOTH ?!?!

    hi guys

I'm feeling the love for a new piercing sometime soonish (hopefully) and cant decided which one to get first.

i allready have tragus + double helix in my right ear so i need something in my left to even me out abit

i was thinking snug + conch but i dont know which one to get first.
Ive read that conchs are eaaasy to heal (yes, i know everyone is different....), and that snugs are *alot* more problematic sooo, do i go for easy heal first and get theat out the way ? or harder heal first ?

what are your experiences with healing and the likes ?

    thanks

    xxx

I definitely say conch then snug!
My conch was pretty easy for healing, it's tucked away so knocking it doesn't happen that often and sleeping on it is a dream! Mine healed up in about 7 months.
I'd definitely say get the conch, wait a few months, then go for snug as they take 6 months-1 year and a half to heal isntead of the 4 months-1 year and a half that conch's take.
    Current
Ears: Left forward and standard helix, left tragus, left daith. Right rook, right double inner conch. 1g and 14g lobes.
Face: Right nostril, septum, vertical labret.
Other: Tongue, standard and inverse navel, left and right nipple.

I personally like the snug better. Just go with your gut feeling

Yeah conch first then snug. Although I don't have either at the moment they are both on my wishlist. I think that they would look better if they weren't on the same ear though.

I replied to a similar thread as this a while ago (i thought it was deja vu :P) so i'll just repost what i said there:

Conch is easier to care for, and quicker to heal. Snugs are hard to heal, and often flare up. I don't want to put you off it, but it's important to be aware how difficult a piercing it can be. If you go for the snug make sure and get pierced with a curved barbell, anything else is usually asking for rejection and complications during healing.

It depends which one you want to get first. You might want to have the easier healing conch first, or you might want to get the tougher snug healed before getting the conch. Personally, I'd get the conch first.

    Good luck either way

I don't have a snug, but i have both conchs. It's a very good healer.

If you want, get both. If you are getting them on different ears, I'd get the conch first on the side that you find more comfortable to sleep on, and wait until it's healed before getting the snug. Why? Well, you'd probably be able to sleep on that side again in a month or 2, and you're not going to be sleeping on the snug side for a LONG time. If you want to get them both on the same ear, whatever side you don't sleep on, and it doesn't matter which you do first.

    awesome, i have decided !!!

    conch first. then snug.

though, im getting my lobes done again on monday, so they may have to wait a little while first :P

as for placement, i think ill discuss that with my piercer

thanks for helping me to decide

&&Lauren1987, i am well aware of how horrible they can be, and when i do get it done, i will make sure its with a curved barbell
