    Default Labret question.....BCR / Stud.....

Ive had my labret a few years now and have always had a simple labret stud in it.... i recently put a bcr in it and for the first time ever its sore on the upper inside of the 'hole'.

is it because the ring has a different angle and the hole needs to get used to it??

the thing is when i go to work (which is just on a sunday) i need to have the stud in, cos they wouldnt tolerate a ring, so i cant give it a few weeks to get used to ring alone.......

do you think i should just stick with the stud????? :?

It's not the crust.....it's the filling.

hey, i have the same problem.

One way that i hve helped it a bit is to buy a BAR closure ring like the one in the link below:

    https://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/on...mm_3417271.cfm

If you wear the flat part (the BAR bit) on the inside of the hole, then its a bit less sore. Though the closure does sometimes get caught on my lip if i play with it too much, which gets sore.

I know that generally it's thought aswell that if its the upper side of the hole (think spikes said this a few times) that the ring is too small -might be worth trying a different diameter ring to see if it improves at all!!

    eeeeek :?

well the 'hole' is quite far down on my lip/chin and i have quite full lips , so the ring i have is quite big already!!! i think it is a 14mm....

dont think i could go any bigger in diameter to be honest, but maybe in thickness? not sure.....

i do prefer the 'look' of the bcr as its more noticable!!

    spike!!! help!!!!

when i first starting wearing rings, I had the same problem with the captive ball ring (the ball made it feel a size smaller), so I changed to a captive bar ring, so much more comfy, but like hells monkey said, it can catch when ya chew it or fiddle with it, so I switched to a smooth segment ring and I havent looked back! now I spin it round to my hearts content, with no problems.xxx good luck on finding summit comfy!

I got 2 rings from america via ebay and only paid 4 for the rings and I think it was about 6 postage or summit like, worth keeping on eye out on there!
