Thread: Stretching

    Default Stretching

Ok, probably a dumb question, but how do I stretch my lobes?

I've done the massaging with oil for a bit, and I did manage to stretch my ears before with crescents, but the day after they were all bruised. I have a spike now, so what, do I just slowly push it, or force it and grin and bear it?

Probably daft questions, but I want to be sure.

Any help much appreciated (I am such a big wimp)

    well, there are many methods.

i suggest you use Tapered Insertion Pins which you can buy off the website

    https://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/on...ns_4020428.cfm

go to a 2 or a 2.4 stretching first, then a 3.2, then a 4, 5 etc but remember to leave about a month in between stretchings.

also - go to spikes website on stretching - it's really useful.

    good luck

to be honest, i just use black pmma flesh plugs and go up a mm at a time. leave it a few weeks inbetween each size. save you a lot of money, and its pretty easy.

You can stretch your ears a number of ways.
It varies from person to person.
Tapered Insertion Pins are recommended, but I never used them. [Although you can't see them in my pic] my ears are now at 14mm and 12mm. To start, I put a 1.6mm belly bar through my ear, then bought a 4mm expander. Over a duration of 2 nights, I put the whole expander in. I would recommend either in or after having a shower or bath, because the water softens the skin.
    Then I went from a 4mm to 6mm, 6mm to 8mm, 8mm to 10mm, 10mm to 12mm, then finally 12mm to 14mm. [And I basically just forced it in]
It's a slow process but wait at least 3 weeks or even longer for the skin to heal before you stretch anymore.
The bruising and swelling is normal for a stretching. I occassionally clean my with salt water and take them out when I'm in the shower to give them a good clean.
    Good luck.
It's worth it. I'm just looking into getting some wooden plugs for them.
[And remember, if you don't like them after you stretched, you can always down size them back to an original lobe piercing size]
Hope this is some kind of help to you!

From that sort of size it is unlikely.
6mm is the generally accepted maximum that will shrink back to normal.

Though even when stretching only as far as 6mm you should be prepared to accept that they my never return to normal afterwards!!
Never forget where you came from,
that can be one of the worst things in the world,
loose that and loose everything that made you who you are
and who you are going to be...
