The Gym was great today. 24 qualifiers for the All-Around.

    21 PALESOVA Kristyna Czech Republic
    22 OSHIMA Kyoko Japan
    23 SILVA Ana Brazil
    24 MYS Gaelle Belgium

    Yay Becky Downie

Beth Tweddle qualified for the Asymmetric Bars final after a rough routine on the bars, the two top Americans, Liukin and Johnson, pretty much qualified for everything.

    Team Results
    1. CHN 248.275
    2. USA 246.800
    3. RUS 244.440
    4. ROM 238.425
    5. AUS 235,45
    6. FRA 233,875
    7. BRA 233,800
    8. JPN 233.175

    9. GBR 232.425
    10. ITA 231.275
    11. UKR 231.125
    12. GER 230.800

Only the top 8 qualify for team finals, so no team medals for GBR this year, but they have made history as the highest we've ever come before is 11th.

Sorry, I'm really enthusiastic for gymnastics, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Downie and Tweddle.

Jakk, a multi-page thread shows that there are people out there that care about it. Personally I am waiting for the BMX racing. I think Shanaze Reade is going to smoke the womens. It'll be hard as she is up against the likes of Chausson and Kintner. The mens will be fun with guys like Prokop and Graves going for it, sadly I don't think we have a medal chance with that one.

Plus I really want to ride the track. Maybe a trip to Manchester where they have a replica

GOLD!! Congrats to our lovely lady cyclist on winning Team GB's first olympic gold medal of the games.

I was watching the judo t'other day, can't believe we missed out on a medal again. That Fallon lad did the same thing four years ago. Still, can't win 'em all can you?
Look on bandcamp or myspace for my music musings.
