I'm pretty sure it's 2 or 4 dollars for a pair. Pretty cheap.
It's okay looking. Just make sure you read the sellar's neutral and negative feedback. I'm not logged in there right now to read it but there seems to be a lot. Might make a difference to receiving something of bad quality or not receiving anything at all.

Yeah, after looking at it I don't think they're worth it. I think I'll give cheap plastic tapers a try again. The last time I tried, it wouldn't go through, but when I went in they used a metal pin and it worked perfectly, which is why I'd like some of those that aren't massively expensive. We think I may have been given a size up on accident, but I've just been going into my shop ever since and they'll stretch it for me. It just makes me feel like a baby haha so I'd rather do it myself if I can.

For some reason taping intimidates me.

I don't know, everyone says it's easy so I don't know what's keeping me from going for it. It think part of it is I'm afraid to do it wrong.

What is the difference between insertion pins and tapers?

Tapers are used to stretch up a size, insertion pins are used to assist the insertion of jewellery although they can be used to also stretch up a size if they are tapered, they're usually longer and more gradual than standard tapers and have an indent or thread to rest/attach jewellery to.

What exactly is synthetic turquoise made out of? I bought some extremely cheap ones on eBay... I think they were labelled as "blue agate" but they definitely look like synthetic turquoise. I put them in yesterday evening and took them out today (less than 24 hours later) and they were almost stuck to my lobes, it was really hard to get them out.
    I'm Lindsay.
    Piercings:
Ears: Right conch, left conch, left double helix, 1/2" lobes.
Other: Both nostrils, septum, VCH, navel
RIP: Left eyebrow, right double tragus
    7 tattoos!

Thanks. I'm thinking it's probably dyed howlite. It looks and feels a lot like a pair of pink howlite plugs I had in 2G.
The plugs were pretty but I don't think I'm gonna be wearing them anymore. The wearable was too short anyway and I had to wear them with the o-ring super tight.
