a stretch has never actually hurt me, felt some discomfort at the most like an odd sensation but by no means would i say pain.

not surprised they have a swollen ear if they shoved in a taper too big.

    3 x helix (1.6mm, 8mm), rook, snug, 2 x tragus (1.2mm, 4mm), 2 x daith, anti tragus, 2 x 16mm lobes, 6mm conch punch, 8mm helix punch

double nostrils, philtrum, double septum (2mm, 10mm)

    3.2mm + 2.4mm navel, 2 x horizontal nipple, R vertical 2.4mm nipple, 2 x inner labia

    want:6mm tragus

Me neither - the most I have felt when stretching my ears is discomfort when the taper was left in before I put the jewellery in and a bit of redness and discomfort when I was using fiddly jewellery which took ages to get in. Stretching my nostril piercings to 1mm did hurt quite a bit, that's different with it being cartilage and stuff.

I'm not surprised either. I did advise them to start small, but it's up to them if they take my advice or not. :L
Current: 9mm lobes, 5mm left tragus, 5mm left conch, tongue web, nasallang, left rook, left anti-tragus, right tragus, right daith, right snug, right forward helix, bridge, 5mm septum, three-point left helix spiral, double left eyebrow

    Planning: Vertical labret re-pierced

i use the insertian pins, easier than having to butt a plug against a taper!

I've used insertion pins to go to 1mm and 1.2mm, but I used a taper for 1.6mm. I didn't see much difference really. xD

Yeah, I found them easy to use too. The hardest part was attaching the balls on the jewellery. :L

I only had a bit if discomfort with Jewellery follow through in one if my ears when I stretched up to 4mm. Awkward stainless steel taper was the problem.

Using stainless steel crescents next time. Should be easier. Have glass top hats coming too. And I have PTFE tape as a back up stretching plan. Just...waiting for my order... Ha! Ugh!

Haha, waiting for orders can be annoying. I hope the cresents are less awkward to use.

Crescents aren't recommended for stretching with but I know some people like to use them, stretching shouldn't be hard or awkward if your ears are ready.
