Ok you guys, my friend has a bf who is quite a bit older than her, what do you lot see as acceptable and not when it comes to age gaps?

    Discuss!

as long as it's not like 40 years :/
haha, and even then, it totally depends on the bloke, cos some blokes will purely be like "i can still get a 20 year old girl *EGO BOOST*"
where as there will be others who really do care about each other.

    and yeh.

IMO it's just a number. I'm 28 and my other half is 41 so that's 13 years difference.

However if I were 16 and he was 29 it might be seen differently.
    CURRENT: LEFT TRAGUS 1.6, TONGUE 2.0, 3 x EACH LOBE 1.6, HELIX 1.6, RIGHT NOSTRIL 1.2, RIGHT CONCH 1.6, LEFT ROOK 1.2

RETIRED: BOTH NIPPLES, 4th LOBES, NAVEL, EYEBROW, CENTRE LIP, 4TH LOBES

WANTS: DAITH, SNUG, DOUBLE CONCH, NAVEL (AGAIN!),

my parents are 11 years apart, and it's never been a problem (they met when my mum was 13 originally, but didn't start dating until she was in her 20s)

I don't see a problem with it if they are both over 16, and consenting if you know what I mean? Personally, I'm 20- nearly 21, and I find men who are 25+ more attractive than say a 18 year old but that is usually because they are more mature. (Not ALWAYS the case I know, but older men tend to have already done the whole sleeping around/immature lifestyle which doesn't appeal to me) Whether I was subconsciously aware I don't know; but I've always been with men atleast 2 or 3 years older than me.

I think relationships can benefit from an age gap, experience, knowledge etc and youthfulness/ excitement. It's hard to explain.

Although I must admit, this Ronnie Wood and 19 year old girlfriend thing freaked me out a little bit. I'm not bothered but I felt abit harsh for his wife. :\

This is all sounding rather positive, anyone completely against age gaps like that?
