Non-specific measurements in recipes! "8 spoonfuls" is that teaspoons, desert spoons, tablespoons?! "Half a glass of wine" and how much is in a glass?! Even bars have variable wine measures!!!

Not to mention do you mean UK/US/Canadian/AU/NZ cups/teaspoons/tablespoons/desert spoons etc! Why not just use ml or g/kg (or fl oz* or oz/lbs if you really must).

    * But not pt - UK or US?

    This:

Laid flat, that measures 10" across, very little stretch at all. These are XXXL with a relaxed waist of 37" apparently and are very stretchy. They'd fit someone with a 24"-26" waist very tightly.

Yes they're Chinese, yes I expected them to come up small but COME ON!

I'm currently badgering bf into learning how to make leggings haha!

I've long since learnt that sizes of clothes mean very little. I recently purchased a couple of pairs of (supposedly identical) trousers - both the same size. In fact, one had a waist about 2" bigger than the other. I suspect the size tags are randomly added after production

Yeah it's a piss take tbh.

I have done that before, got 2 pairs, same pants but different colours, 4 inch waist difference...blegh.

Really wish my NVQ assessor would tell me she's not coming some time before the day she's due in, not on the day whilst I'm in work & can't check my emails.

Guys I'm so glad it's not just me!! I really can't stand American "sticks" of butter either. It's not a real unit of measurement!! (Well it is in America but it translates to some insanely weird number iirc which bugs the hell out of me)
UPDATE: I checked and it's about 113.4g ugh!

Preach! Even my beloved Dorothy Perkins jeans do this, my purple ones are a good 1.5" smaller when laid flat than the same style, same size non dyed ones.
