People keep asking me what the boy and I are doing for Valentine's Day. Then when I tel them "nothing", they get all shocked-face and say "Really? But why? It's Valentine's Day!"

Yes I am well aware of that, thank you. I didn't understand the hype around it when I was single, and I don't understand it now. I am with a wonderful guy who is just so great to me and really does spoil me too much. We love each other every day regardless, why do we have to love each other MORE just because of this day?

^ I don't understand the whole hype about valentines day. To me, it's just another made up occasion where companies can make more money. Me and Devon aren't doing anything on Friday, there's just no point. He suggested going out for a meal but why pay more just for one day when we could have just as good of a night at home?

Also what's GMG at the minute is the fact I feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I wanna better myself, i.e get a new place to live, new job, lose weight, new start. I'm just finding it so difficult to motivate myself to even start exercising due to the weather. The rest will follow, but I just don't see any happiness to come out of all of this.

Valentines day is Nick's birthday so we tend not to go out for it since everywhere is usually overpriced haha. We go out before/after usually or for 'big' birthdays. But it's weird and everyone assumes he's doing stuff for me just cause it's valentines day - when we went away for his 21st people kept telling me how lucky I was and how romantic he was which was a bit infuriating, I'd worked really hard to make it a nice weekend!!

people who complain about having no money, yet go out all the time... to the point they borrow money off of their parents for FOOD and still go out...

honestly, I would rather starve than ask my parents for more money and, as much as I know they would give me it, I would never dream of doing so. The only exception is cost of train fare, and only then it's because they offer to pay it.
It just really winds me up, I've been raised to be pretty careful with money and I would rather miss out on a night out if it meant I would possibly not be able to cover my other expenses.
You sort of start thinking anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.

I hate this too. I have a friend who will get a Wonga loan just so he can get a takeaway! If he didn't have so many payday loans to pay off other payday loans, he would be able to do a big food shop and not need to get a takeaway because there's nothing in!

Hah, most of my bored periods are when I'm at work!

Haha I'm always bored when I'm on reception at work. Like now!

'poorly' really irritates me. Especially when adults use it combined with a pathetic tone of voice. Does that even make sense to anyone but me? like Karen in mean girls 'I'm sick *coughcough*'

Have i gone mad? Im afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But i'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
