I don't smoke but I think YES! It would take out the crime and if you look to the Netherlands or to US Colorado you will learn that they are fine with the legalisation. I have a friend, he lives in Denver and the only complaint he has is that it always smells like pot on his balcony!

No, here's why. Everyone who smokes does know it does affect your brain, it does affect your constructive thinking, loweres your brain activity. You ask, why do I care if I won't smoke? I simply don't want to be surrounded by idiots.

You're going to be surrounded by idiots whether they smoke or not, it's just life.
I know plenty of idiots who have never touched the stuff, or anything else, it's just how they were born/raised.
Besides, most of the people I know who do smoke it, stay indoors a lot (therefore aren't surrounding anyone), or are still very intelligent people, so your argument is invalid.

Yeah only once have I smelled pot in public (at Disney World of all places... Ew) but I live in a city with A LOT of weed. Granted there are the idiots like whoever were at Disney... But there's drunks at Disney too. As a general rule people don't flaunt their drug use, legal or not. And I'd rather be around someone who is high than someone who is drunk, personally

YES! My number 1 reason: the fake, legal weed ("spice", K2, black mamba etc.) that kids buy here (completely legally and easily) is so, so dangerous and nothing like cannabis. It contains a terrible combination of research chemicals - it's occasionally okay, but loads have died/ended up completely brain damaged. It's more dangerous than weed.

However, I also realise that so many teenagers have fake IDs here and manage to buy cigarettes/alcohol at 14/15 (and even get into clubs) - i don't know how places like Amsterdam deal with making sure underage people aren't buying weed, but it would be disasterous for, say, 14 year olds to be able to buy weed if it became legal on a recreational basis in Britain. It DOES absolutely make mental conditions more likely and many, many people cannot handle it.

The Netherlands deal with 'problem' of weed because, by being legal, it's lost a lot of the 'mystery'. I know loads of Dutch people who don't, never have and have no intention, of doing weed, just the same way I know people over here who don't drink or go clubbing.
