hi, I had my tragus pierced last week. Pains different for everyone... but for me it wasn't too bad, probably one of the more painful ones ive got but nothing unbearable by any means.

    Retired - Scaffold, 2 x 1.6 Lobes

Mine hurt like a big arsed bastard and I don't have the other side done!

It was also my hardest piercing to heal, with it taking up to a year and having a bump. I think the healing time can be minimised by having a barbell in it rather than a bcr.

But as Laurah has said already, everyone has different pain threshholds and despite what I have said it is my favourite piercing.

I've had my tragus pierced for about 1 year and a half.

I found it painful myself, you have to bear in mind that it won't be numbed and it is pure cartiledge. Pain differs for everyone. Other people I know who have had their tragus pierced have said it hasn't hurt.

I havent had it done, Thought about it but I've seen it being done, My aunt had it done and she said it was fine, She doesnt have it anymore tho but it didnt look like it hurt either. My other friend who had it done hes bled abit and she was slightly nervous, but shes scared of needles.
If you want it done go for it, I think its a very cute piercing but I've wondered wouldnt it be hard to wear earphones :?

I was really scared about getting my tragus pierced (now retired) cos it was my first ever piercing, but it didn't hurt me at all.

If it were me, i'd get it done with a short bar to start with. I had mine done with a ring, i kept knocking it and sleeping on it and it was never really happy even after about a year.

A bar will get knocked less than a ring and piercings generally heal better with bars than rings anyway!
Let us know how it goes!

    Hey.

    Your tragus varies.

Mine hurt because it wasn't numbed and done in two stages. It depends on how high or low your pain threshold is. Remember the tragus is pure cartiledge.

    Hope this helps.
