    Well, I think it's better to ride a 125 for a while, whether you do it on a full licence or not, since it seems a tad daft to go from nothing to full licence in one jump then jumping straight on a fireblade. Better to learn on something more forgiving

    can't see why you'd think its daft tbh. i went straight from nothing to an '08 R6. nothing bad (touch wood) has happened and im enjoying it more everytime i ride.
    another reason i would recommend just going for the whole thing (providing you above 21) is that on your CBT you'll get to ride a 125. i did all my lessons after on a 500, however i've heard you generally will do your first on a 125. so if you do the whole lot you will have a mix of riding a 125 and a 500, then once passed you can choose which you wish to ride. better to have more options then limit yourself.
    and just because you could jump straight on a litre bike, doesn't mean you have to.

    Well I have an old 30's BSA a 55 Norton single a 77 Moto guzzi Mk1 LeMans a 500 Royal Enfield a 350 Royal Enfield a 2000 Sv650 & an old 37 BSA in bits, can you figure out another of my passions/hobbies ? I have almost forgotten all the other bikes I've had over the years, but could probably list them if I had to.
    Current : Left ear lobe 18g gold ring 10mm ID,
    Both nipples 10g 12mm ID BCR ,
    Reverse Prince Albert 2g 25mm curved SS Barbell with 11mm balls.
    Septum at 10g Horseshoe !

    Retired : Pubic piercing 10g 12mm ID, due to starting Ball Stretching Adventure !

    Tattoo's, Upper & lower arms. Upper legs & both shoulders, long forgotten how many hours !

    Ball Stretching Weights, 38 x 30 521g & 40 x 15 234g making a total of 755g at present. More to be added !
