Default Transient Fancies or Here to Stay?

How far on this continuum do you place your body modifications? I'm sure a variant of this has been discussed at some point but it is always nice to revisit this issue from time to time.
    Ears: Rook, auricle, 30mm lobes.
Face: Eyebrow skin diver, septum, nostril, philtrum, lower lip & tongue (both self pierced).
    Body: 2 x 6mm outer labia, 2 x 12mm outer labia, 1.6mm clitoris piercing.
Tattoos: On the way to full bodysuit.

I adore modification, I find whenever I am online or whatever I am constantly reading about it, researching stuff and building on my knowledge and opinions. It's the only real hobby I have I suppose.

And it makes me feel beautiful, and I recon it completes me.

    Can't see it dissapearing.

My interest is here to stay, and everything emmmma has said rings true for me too. I love my piercings, can't imagine being me without them and wouldn't want to take any out. However, I am realistic and if I have to remove some for a long-term job, I will. Being able to support yourself and actually live is more important than having piercings.

    That's fair enough...

Although I must say, I still love and always will love piercings. But I have definately concentrated on tattoos over the past 2 years and just got the odd piercing here and there.

I have had piercings before that ended up being part of a phase. At the moment mine are here to stay, jobs will determine if my one facial piercing stays or goes, but the rest are for keeps.

I've never been one for facial piercings on myself anyway, so if i continue piercing they will all be hidden away.

The same goes for tattoos, I mean, I've already made the decision to have it forever just by having it done in the first place. Which is why I'd never get a tattoo because I thought it 'looked cool' at the time.

I know that no doubt I will change through my life. But some how I feel that modifications, in what ever form will always be part of me, I greatly enjoy being able to change how I look, feel and how others perceive me. Though currently I can't see myself going off any of my piercings any time soon. I feel that instead of disliking them, they would just be replaced by another type of modification.
Maybe once I am able to get tattoos that may be the case.
