Dad's ey :') people take the p!ss out of me so much coz my perfect Saturday is playing pool in the pub with dad all afternoon, then coming home, getting takeaway and watching movies with him. When people in the pub ask me why I spend so much time with him out of the house etc, when I live with him and see him everyday, we both say the same thing. 'He's the only man I will ever have in my life I can truly rely on' and that is so, SO true. He's been there through everything, all the heartache, and some truely horrendous breakups, he is genuinely my best friend.

'Gets all sentimental over her father' lol!

    aww that's adorable :')

my dad's one of my best friends too - we just have the same sense of humour and click completely. And some things he'll just do that make me feel so loved - like I once was really ill from college (norovirus FTW!) and he got up early before work and bought me 2 big cartons of orange juice and some ice lollies (I'd thrown up so violently my throat was raw and they soothed it) and it took me begging him to go and promising to ring him if I got worse to persuade him to not stay home and look after me. I was 17! And he'll give me breakfast in bed every so often too.

That's not saying my mum isn't amazing too - I've just always had a very special relationship with my father. (like when I turned 18 he was happiest over the fact he'd successfully raised a drinking buddy)

Aww bless! Sounds like we both have a very similar relationships with out dads when my ferret died, I was so upset, I cried for like, 2 days solid. My dad rang in work and said 'I can't come in today, family emergency' and apparently when he was asked about it later he said 'my little girl needed me' I was 17 then! Haha. And hear hear to the drinking buddy, probably his proudest achievement to date!

Thumbs up to our awesome dads

So far, being rang by my nana this morning not only to tell me she's going to try and book me tickets for one of my favourite operas for my birthday, but to discuss something she saw that she thought would help me with my dissertation. It makes me feel good to think that my chosen topic has sparked interest in one of my family members. My parents don't take nearly as much interest.

My interview went well I'm really pleased with how it went and whatever happens I know I did the best that I could do, I find out early next week whether I've got a second interview or not.
