i usually use a mid colour on the eye lid, then a lighter one in the inner corners of my eye, and a darker one at the outer part of my eye, just above the lid.

oh and invest in a good eyeshadow brush, it makes all the difference, seriously.

    i have these two:

but if you get a flat kind of square one like the top one that can be used for applying eyeshadow to the whol lid and also the crease above the eyelid, as it's wide, but flat.

I asked here about what eye shadow to use for green eyes. I ended up buying a purple one but i found it has to be the right shade of purple though. I now use that all over my eye lid and blend the edges (below the brow bone) with a dark blackey grey colour.

    All that shines,
    Turns to rust.
    All that stands, in time
    Turns to dust.

What she said! It's all about the brushes. Although in the morning I'm lazy and apply eye makeup before foundation & powder, so I can just mop up all the loose powder with a make-up wipe

Then if I need to reapply during the day [which I don't often, cos as I mentioned in the other thread I use Benefit's FY....Eye which is AMAZING!] then yeah just keep layering it up slowly.

(this is directed to everyone )

    Dawn xx
    1) I have blue eyes, pale complexion and hmmmm...lots of colours quite regularly hairwise. But I wear loads of different colours of eyeshadow so I'm probably not much help....mostly various greens, pinks, silvers, reds, blues, purples....haha. Normally two quite different colours blended.

    2) Maybelline Liner Express FTW! I use it on my eyes and my brows, and it lasts aaaages....I can usually sleep for a good couple of nights and still have my brows on, or most of them....before that I used one from The Body Shop which was more expensive and after one night in bed it would be EVERYWHERE. This is how I judge a good eyeliner anyway, how good it is for my eyebrows!

Yeah that site is amazing, I found it through hair initially, although I've never received my email confirmation so never been able to post :(

Oh....and I've been thinking of experimenting with some really bright yellow eyeshadow....anyone used it? I imagine it would be quite difficult to get good coverage, MAC may be in order I reckon!

We should blatantly post pics of different make-up styles as well
