Don't hedgehogs have barbs or something on the end of their spikes so they tear on the way out?

I can remember being out drunk one night with some friends and walking across a field. I saw a blob on the ground and thought it was a big rock or something and gave it a halfassed kick - only realised it was a hedgehog after it didn't feel much like a rock. Anyway, couldn't find it afterwards so I presume it ran off (hopefully).

My mate raised about 4 orphaned baby hedgehogs (the propr word is hoglets!) and they do green poo when they dont drink their mummies milk! And they snuffle!

My parents tamed one when they lived in the country before I was born. They named it and it answered to its name and it waited at the back door for food etc.

They also unwillingfully tamed a pheasant who knocked on the back door at breakfast time for food. But thats another story.
