Finally managed to get the balls off the horseshoe in my septum! Last night at work I borrowed a latex glove. Wouldn't budge but I must have loosened it because when I went home I fought with it a little more and managed to get one ball off! Took it out of my nose and managed to get the other off too Unfortunately the clicker I tried in it after removal was far too big so I've had to sell it on but I'm just please I finally managed to get it out. Took me forever to get the ball back on when I put it back in my nose though :/ Had to employ the Blu Tac on a hair grip method. I'm paranoid I've put it back on too tight now!

Still can't get my conch bar off. ARGGGG

Thought... at which point does a lobe piercing become a helix? Like, how far up on the ear?

How thick is the bar and how much sticking out the back, you could cut it off (don't do it yourself). That said, if you had a 2nd person and two sets of forceps/pliers the other person could do that too.

I was in the same situation as you myself, my piercer removed the balls with forceps 8 months after putting them on with forceps. He was not able to unscrew them with fingers either. Although, slightly different - I never tried to take it out.
    Piercings: 3x Lobe (L), Single Upper Lobe (R), Conch (R), 1.6mm Septum

To do list: Angel Bites, Tongue, Nipples, Navel, Tragus.

Yeah he tightened it with forceps when we put it on. And there's a lot sticking out. A lot. It was a swollen little beasty at first. I need a second person but there's not anyone I can ask... gonna have to find someone soon

I think one of my mantis piercings was trying to embed, but I may have managed to sort it out. :/ Maybe I should go to my piercers and ask for bigger balls to be put on the outside, haha.

Discussing the possibility of magnetic implants with my boyfriend. He seems sort of interested (he doesn't really do body mods), especially as there could be practical uses (he's an electrical engineer).

This could be pretty cool. Definitely need to do some serious research around this, as I'm pretty psyched about the idea right now.
