My Piercer changed my helix labret from 6mm to 8mm after it swelled on Saturday. My own fault for thinking I could put gold jewellery in my 8 month old second lobes. My lymph gland rose at the back of my ear & my helix swelled. It was 24 hours before I realised my error. I won't do that again.

Tbh gold is really crappy for piercings, especially newer ones, just stick to biocompatible (titanium/ptfe/bioplast) stuff and you'll avoid all those nickel irritations and problems

    Modifications: 5mm septum punch,
coinslot ear cartilage removal, 5mm conch punch
Cosmetic Modifications: Scar removal x7, semi permanent eyebrows, semi permanent eyeliner, semi permanent lipstick, lip dermal filler, botox

Agreed gold is pretty much junk jewellery especially 9ct which is actually only a third gold ... ! Plus titanium comes in tonnes of pretty colours D

I'm having the same issue lol. After my bump went flatter I started to pick at it more (I could feel a loose piece hanging off and it was bothering me to no end), and naturally it started bleeding... hopefully a warm shower will clean it up well.
    Have: 2g lobes (11/11/12); L 16g conch (07/27/12); 14g VCH (09/01/12) | Next: stretch ALL the things! (lobes: 1g; VCH: 12g)
Also Want: 8g septum, outer labia, nipples; too many tattoo ideas for my own good; goal size for lobes = 1/2" - 5/8"
Is it weird that I love piercing crusties...?

My nose stud keeps getting snagged and is not very happy.

I've also been changing guage sizes lower as well as stone sizes and it seems to be making things worse.

    Glad you found it!
