LMAO, this sounds a lot like what my mom used to tell me. That there's a nerve in the top of the ear that if you pierce too high on the helix, that you'd die instantly. I've had my upper helix now...
Mine took about 9 months to heal. No bump, but a bit of swelling. I'd call it average for a cartilage piercing, compared to others I've had (6 others)...
No reason not to. :) There's no such thing as "girl" piercings except for ones specific to female anatomy.
Also I had mine initially done at 12ga (2mm). My piercer said that 10ga was also a...
Judging by your pics, you have the perfect shaped tragus for having one. If you want to get 2, why not?
Get them done one at a time. It'll be easier to heal since you can sleep on the other ear during the healing time. Some people have had issues with rooks, mine took longer to heal than most of my...
I always get extremely nervous. My rook was moderately painful, but healed nicely after 10 months. :)
1. Mine hurt a lot, about 8/10
2. Very easy healers, no longer sore at all after 3 weeks. Of course, takes about 9-18 months to fully heal like all cartilage.
3. I have tiny ears, and never...
This has happened with my 2nd lobes, which I put back in a couple months ago. I don't see why you can't wear the barbell again if you want to, as long as you take care of it. :)
It shouldn't hurt to stretch them, at all. if it does, you're not waiting long enough between sizes.
I've had massive bumps with my forward helix. It eventually settled down, no bumps at all now. :) Using a barbell is best, as others have said.
Unlike most of these people, I did have the...
Rook or conch :)
Are you thinking of lobe to lobe, or something else? I've been toying with the idea of a lobe to conch orbital. Either way, if you like it, why not?
I blame Claires. They tell everyone 6-8 weeks for all their gunned piercings.
Reminds me of this:

Eww.. First off, why would anyone think that's a good idea?
Second off, who has a nipple that small? Even without swelling...
I'm pretty much the same way because of a needle phobia. Anticipation is the worst, so you're better off getting it done sooner rather than later if you really want it. :)
Also, if you're...
Me too <_<
I've seen them anywhere from 26mm to 40mm depending on the size of the ear. It's worth asking your piercer what size he used on you.
Makes perfect sense to me. I wouldn't be pierced by anyone who doesn't use gloves. Especially since they have no idea where I've been when I'm not in their studio. :p
You can probably stretch it as far as you want but it will eventually look deformed. One of the piercers at a studio I frequent has 1/2" conchs (which he said he stretched from an initial 8ga punch...
I KNEW IT! :p
Have a look at my ears (pics in sig). I have one on the top of my right ear. It healed just fine, I don't remember much about it (pain, healing time) because I've had it for about 9 years. If you...
I actually met someone with one of those, who wasn't heavily visibly pierced (only had a lip ring and a few earrings along with the mandible as far as i can tell). That just looks so terribly...
Mine is about 5 months old. Still gets crusty but considering what I seen here it's not bad for this point.
