awwww he's so sweet! I love the markings on his back! :D
They don't have to, admittedly, it is more so it is a lot easier when they are in a group to keep an eye on them.
Quinn wear one at the doggy meets because Quinn is a black greyhound, with almost no markings, and there are a LOT of black greyhounds, and they are very hard to tell apart, it's just a way to tell them apart. If there is a fight or one of them gets out etc, you have to tell which one your dog is FAST and grab it. Hence why Quinn wore bright yellow at the meet yesterday. Other people leave their dogs body harnesses on so they can tell who's theirs is, or wear other colour bandanas or kep their coats on.
Xand has been wearing one for the last week (when he was in kennels, a woman who knows a lot more about greyhounds than me asked to borrow one of Quinn's) as he had a reaction to Frontline (the flea treatment stuff that goes between their shoulder blades) and a lot of his fur came out, and a big scab formed. If the bandana is there, it protects this bald patch from the sun, also helps to stop him scratching and biting at is, as it is obviously sore.
They don't wear them when at home just the two of them.
bit of a late reply but...
when they're seperated they cry for each other, and having their bits chopped off is the eventual plan but its quite expensive lol
they love to hate each other
now i should say something relevant about dogs since thats the way the topics been going... my aunties dog came to our house the other day, and we've just had laminate floor put in... made me giggle lol as soon as he realsied he couldn't walk he looked at me and started whimpering lol! so i helped him into the kitchen :)
Ooh makes sense.
My mum said we're just gonna wait and get a dog when we get to N.Ireland but I really want a greyhound so I'm gonna ask if we cant get the dog before we go.
There is a lovely Saluki rescue in Northern Ireland, I wished I lived there because Saluki's are SO beautiful.

OMG.
Do they have a website?
I do believe I've just fallen in love.
I did go on their website last week, I'll have a look for it for you. :)
I wish I could have one, but they are just so rare to find in England. :frown: Although I wouldn't swap my baby boys for anything.
I reallllly want a beagle!
