Oh that's really not too bad Danni.
I don't think I'd mind those so much.
To answer the OP: yes I would like to have kids, but none of my own. There are millions of kids in foster, adoption agencies, or ones who were just disowned, who need a home. I always think of in the aspect of how people talk about dogs or cats. "No, you can't breed them! There are millions already out there that need a home" -- so why is it o.k to keep breeding to create humans, then?
That's a really admirable thing to do, and I would also like to adopt, but I'd want my own biological children too. I think most people choose having their own children over adoption because;
- They want their own, biological children so that they carry on the "family name."
- Because the child will be a product of them and their partner, and as much as they might love an adopted child, they won't be able to look at them and pick out features and trait that they can say are just like them/their partner.
- Because they want to go through the process of carrying a child themselves, going to scans and prenatal classes, as well as actually giving birth.
And loads more but I'm tired and can't think of them right now. Imo, you can't really compare a couple choosing to have their own biological kids to getting a pure bred puppy from a breeder rather than picking one up from the RSPCA :tongue:
Due to a hormone condition, I was very overweight as a child and as a result had stretchmarks all over my body. I think it is inevitable that i'm going to get them when I have a child. The do fade to a silvery cream colour in time although some of them do leave indentations too, on the other hand though some of them do fade completely.
I just know i'm gonna get piles as well! :eek: :D
whats the point in kids if you cant beat them?
This is exactly what puts me off children - seeing how horrendously behaved other people's ones are! I'm sure if I had my own I would teach them to be well behaved and have manners, since that's how I was brought up, but it really does scare me off of children seeing people's kids running riot in shops / on trains / cinemas etc. My mother would NEVER have let me off with that, and I was never inclined to do it either!
