To be fair the procedures are usually explained beforehand, before I had my appendix taken out I was told exactly what they would do.
I didn't need to watch a sick video to know what was about to happen to me, ignorance is bliss in some respects

Not all abortions are done the same way..... same as not all animals are killed the same way.
sayin that, i sat an watched a 3d thingy of liposuction/tummy tuck and breast liftin the other day, Nick asked me if i would still consider it after seeing what they did.... and i said yes.
Exactly my point, you'd still go ahead with it only now you'll know exactly what's going to happen. I just know if I was going to have an abortion / operation / any kind of very serious procedure done I'd like to have seen what they were going to do to me. It wouldn't put me off, in fact it would put my mind at rest knowing what I was going to go through.
tbf the only reason i didnt watch the abortion is because iv been through a miscarriage.... i know what happens, i dont/didnt need a reminder.
ok, im gonna ask a question to all the pro abortions.... how do u feel about them who have more than 1?
iv read these past couple of days about a woman whos had 15 abortions in 16 yrs.... and dosnt regret a one.... my words to her would be 'get steralised, until then close ur legs an learn to say no'
also apparently recent studies show that over 1,000 women last yr had roughly 5-6 abortions (5-6 abortions each) ..... what is that teaching younger adults? 'oh its ok, u dont have to use protection or deal with the consiquences... go have an abortion'.
its just so.... sad.. really is.
I tend to use double protection (pill and condoms) but I would have an abortion 100% no doubts if I were to fall pregnant, but yeah for those who have them more than say 2-3 times in a relatively close proximity should just get their tubes tied because while I am pro-choice as has already been mentioned abortion is totally not a form of contraceptive.
Like I said earlier, if it was a purely accidental pregnancy and I really didn't feel ready for a baby then I'm fine with one...but I watched a programme a while back where a woman did the same - i think she'd had something like 9 abortions.
I think people who "need" to have that many clearly aren't using contraception and are idiots. There's no way you could "accidentally" get pregnant that many times. The NHS should just say no after the first few when they realise what's going on.
Some people should be sterilised if that's the case
Im totally pro early stage abortions, if your contraception has failed 3 weeks later you miss a period then do a test then book an appointment i see no problem with that. as its still really on a bunch of cells that cant survive on its own. or even miss two period do test etc .
Its when people leave it till last minute just because they are lazy i think its totally wrong and then is murder.
Fair enough if at 20+ weeks the baby is putting the mothers life at risk , or the baby is so badly disabled that it will have almost no quality of life (ei vegatative state) then again i see no problem.
I also feel that rape victims having an abortion at any time is acceptable because they could be so traumatised by the whole event that they dont feel like they can go through with abortion straight away etc etc
I'd like my tubes tied as soon as I could have the procedure but it would be less costly for my boyfriend to have a vasectomy and there'd be fewer post-op complications. However, it's very difficult to convince a doctor to do it when you're below 30 and have no children because they don't want to get sued if a patient changes their mind. I'm sure the boyf wouldn't have any qualms about getting a vasectomy aside from it involving painful balls for a bit, we're both 100% on not having kids. I'm sure there's people who'd be like "good thing you're not having kids, you'd be a terrible parent" or whatever because of my dislike of children, but screw them.
If it happens a couple times on complete accident and it's completely not a good time for the woman to be having a baby, I say it's okay.
But chances are when the women are having 5-6 abortions in their lifetime, they're using it as birth control itself.
That is absolutely not acceptable imo.
I think after the second abortion it's really just time to get your tubes tied.
It is no different to the Government using the pictures and facts on cigarette smoking or the adverts relating to drink driving or drug taking....
Also, someone stated that this thread was about having/not having kids, it wasn't aimed at do you/do you not want kids. It was a general discussion about kids and all pros/cons.
Abortion is totally relevant to the convo, same as contraception, of which some people clearly seem to believe that abortion is. It is not. END OF. ;)
Personal thoughts, it is murder, as the foetus is living, even from the sperm/ovum stage. I couldn't say under what circumstances I would consider it as an option until I were in the situation. Even if I were to agree to the procedure, I would not be happy with it ever. A very touchy subject indeed, but one worthy of discussion nevertheless.
And the debate goes on...
