When your in labour your monitored, so is the babys heartbeat... any signs of you or the baby going into distress or any other problems and a full medical team is brought in to investigate.
Im not too clear on what happened during my labour, i was on gas an air, plus pethadine an id also ended up having an epidural which failed (all the way through id said i didnt want this, but it was taken out of my hands)
Like i said, after 24hrs (more if you count the first signs of labour) i was tired and not even half way dialated, iv got past history of narrow birth canal and also a titled ueterus. This wasnt taken into consideration which resulted in me having a aweful labour and an emergency c-section. Apart from me an my ex there was 12 other people in the room when things went tits up.
Im hoping this time to avoid all of the panic and stress, id love to deliver naturely, but sadly i dont think that will be the case.
