I've had to spend time around kids this week (work experience in a sea life centre at half term) and it's safe to say I still hate the little gits but I have discovered that they're easily appeased with stickers

If I ever did have kids by some weird occurrence I'd actually want to have more than one (two would do it definitely). I love my brothers to bits and wouldn't want a kid to miss out on that. It's highly unlikely I'll ever have kids though cos I hate the little buggers but no-one knows what the future holds

i want kids, one day. but i want to be secure, settled and happy before i do. and not many.
i work in a kid's bookshop and babysit a lot, and i get along well with children, too, so that's good :3

I don't think I'd want kids, I'd much rather be a cool uncle... I think it takes a lot of work and I'm not sure if I'd want to bring a wee one into todays world as sad as that sounds, not that I could actually bring a child into the world :P but aid in their creation. I'm pretty sure atm with taxes and things it costs an absoloute fortune to bring up children.
I was reading above about people thinking because of someones piercings / tattoos/ mods making them bad parents, That's a complete joke... I work in a pharmacy and where someone would be quick to judge someone with piercings etc, they'd never turn round and say to heroin addicts that they are unfit to be parents. I've seen customers kick their children and I think it's horrible that some people get to be parents while others who would make fantastic mums or dads can't have children.

Omg! there is like a plague of pregnancies at my work just now, i'm gonna have to bring repellant with me to work so i don't get it too!

Only kidding, I have a little girl called Leah, she'll be 2 in July. She's the light of my life. Most people change their minds about kids as they get older as I did. They are hard work but things that are good usually are.

I want kids, but I never got the chance to have them. Now I am not sure I will have the chance. I even got to where I selected a sperm donor, but things weren't right career-wise for me to afford to take care of a child as a single mother. I wanted a biological child but it seems I won't have time by the time I get settled with my career (ended up switching careers to try to be able to afford kids, among other things). Dunno. I am just hoping I will be ok with whatever happens and not turn into a regretful old childless spinster :(

I know you said you would prefer a biological child but assuming time is against you, you could adopt?

Can't say that the overwheling urge to repoduce or the ticking of the body clock has started yet like all the 'experts' say would happen when I reached 30. Can't say the the thought of having my body ripped apart from the inside out is appealing either.
Don't even feel maternal towards hubby's kid from a previous relationship, as far as I'm concerned she is someone else's kid, I'm not horrible to her I just don't do the maternal stuff.
I would feel awful bringing a child into such a place where people are greedy selfish and disgusting (years of working in customer service have made me feel like this).
Maybe I'm not wired up right but then again there are people out there breeding like there is no tomorrow so not to worry about the declining of the human race.

Think kids would be the way to passing on the legacy and everything.

I don't want children. I mean, I really don't want them. I love kids, but only until they're about five.
I used to want children. I knew what I wanted, I wanted a boy and a girl, and I wanted the boy to be the older one.
But oh my gosh. I really really don't want children. I want to dance as my career. I don't want to be held down by a child. I don't want to have the financial responsibilities of a child, I don't want to be stuck being somebody else's bitch for over 18 years, because people rarely move out at 18 now.
I really want to keep my relationship with whoever my significant other will be how it was when we first started dating, and I really don't want to have any regrets. I don't want to have thoughts about regretting my decision to have a child or something. I don't want to ruin my body just to be pregnant, and I don't want my vagina to go through childbirth. I actually want to get a hysterectomy.
I don't want to give anything up for a parasitic being.
I don't mean to offend anybody, but I think if I found out I was pregnant, I'd get an abortion. I'm not ready for that.
My boyfriend just so happens to not want children, so for the time being, this works. Perfectly.
