Can't believe all that I'm reading, it seems like you can trick a man into fatherhood and then make him pay for it for 18 years!
I was also thinking how unfair it is that a woman can have a baby with a man and then just decide to remove him completely from the child's life but even if the mother is incompetent / uncaring / suffering from addictions etc and the father is more than loving and competent he is still considered less important to the child than the mother in the eyes of the law.

Gernerally i'd agree with that but especially where children are concerned,it's too general a comment to apply.Abandonment of a parent (financially and emotionally) is always wrong imo,but agreed that the laws over here are just f*cked .

Yes it takes two to tango but it only takes one to lie and then the things go bad!!
