General Relationship Thread

Brandon's being kind of a poophead about tonight.
Three of my friends are coming into town and another friend of both me and him invited us all to go to a biker themed party.
He was all about it until he found out it was BYOB and one of my best friends and her girl were going to share their drinks with me..he doesn't wanna come because I might be drunk and he'll get annoyed.
I understand that somewhat, but I don't have any money to buy more, and between three people of not even a full bottle there won't be enough to have me drunk the whole night anyway..and to begin with I didn't even know they were planning on sharing so I would have gone and been sober too! Like I said, I understand it may be annoying, but the one friend of both of ours we're going with doesn't usually get sh*t faced and surely going out and spending time with your girlfriend and one of your friends is more fun than staying in on a Friday night alone? I wish he would just come.

Personally I'd prefer a good book.

Not to be judgemental or anything since I don't know you but if he's getting all worried/stroppy about you drinking have you spoken to him about it? Because he might be worried you have a problem or something like that. I grew up with a dad who drank like a fish and so I've always felt really uncomfortable when people I'm with drink. It makes me massively overly sensitive and I tend to view normal student binge drinking behaviour as being absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. You never know it might be something like this.

If you really really want him to come, then why not promise him that you won't drink that night? You don't have to get drunk every time you go out, plus you're underage in the US so you shouldn't be drinking anyway, and I disapprove of anyone who drinks underage but it's not my place to tell you you can't.

If he'd rather spend Friday night alone than go out with you while you get wasted, I think there's some talking that needs to be done.

Another weekend without Danny home, as he's off to his mom's. I hate these weekends when he goes to visit her; he always comes back upset because she's so verbally mean to him the entire time he's there. But of course he still goes, because she's sick. (Not dying or anything, but she very stupidly caused herself complications with a surgery by refusing to listen to her doctor's instructions. Now she keeps having to go back to the doctor for check-ups to make sure she hasn't done more damage.)

I don't have a problem, I don't drink all that much tbh and he drinks just as much as me when we go out anyway.
I'm sure he doesn't worry that I have a problem or he would say something.
I do like drinking but it's not something I even do once a weekend, it's more like a few times a month, if that.

We don't get drunk every time we go out really, but my friends were in town so I wanted to show them a good time and all that.
Thing is even if I had decided not to drink that night he still wouldn't go, he really hates parties unless he can drink.

It's all good though, we didn't end up going due to the party being too far of a walk there and back, we went to a friend of ours isntead and just had a good time there and he came with.
In all honesty I was okay with going at first but after he said he didn't want to and I knew how far it was I wasn't really all that into going, I just wanted to because I had guests and they wanted to go.

I realize it's foolish for me to try and force him to do something he doesn't want to, he would have been perfectly content with staying in and entertaining himself, I guess I just assume otherwise as I feel differently!

Edit: It's weird that I miss him even though I saw him earlier today..and now I won't be seeing him at all tonight as he's sick. :/
I feel bad but I wanted to sleep with him tonight as I haven't the past couple nights..blah.

Heh I miss Robin every day even thought he's only gone to work and will be back at the end of the day >_<.

Hmm, I'm getting my OH an iPod for his birthday next month, and I want to get him the red one as it's his favourite colour, does anyone know if this is available elsewhere, or are the red products exclusive to the Apple website?

I sound like a right cheapskate but the truth is I just want to see if I can find it cheaper elsewhere as I had my heart set on also getting him a hoodie he really wants but it's £65!
I've managed to find it on another site for £60 but I'm seriously considering just getting him the t-shirt that has the same design on it just so I can save the pennies.

You can get ipods on play/amazon, some gaming places like game might stock them too.
