General Relationship Thread

Yeah Simon and I have had a break and it just gave us space to think and realise it'd be stupid to throw the relationship away.He's popping up on Thursday on the way back from cornwall. Only for a couple of hours. mmm...I wonder what we'll end up doing. I'm not doing well on the whole LD thing. I keep thinking about how much easier it would be if we weren't together...because whenever we talk on the phone he's just like "yeah...what? You rang?" and gets pissed off at me for wanting to chat. When we see each other he's lovely, best boyfriend I could ask for. Really sweet and affectionaite and very good at compromise. When he's not he's just a grumpy C U Next Tuesday who never rings, never gets in contact, nothing. I'm going to leave it though, see how it pans out in a couple of months when my dissertation is in and I'm not so stressed, since I think that's a good part of it. I'm also planning on writing him a bit of a love letter to give to him on Thursday so he can read it when he misses me. Will also make me think about all the things I love about him.

Maybe he just doesn't like talking on the phone? The love letter idea is sweet :).

With regards to mobile phone communications, Bobbins doesn't put kisses on the end and rarely says "I miss you" or "I love you" via text unless I say it first, but I've got used to it, it's just he's not soppy I guess. Well, he is in real life, maybe he saves it all up for then :p. We don't call each other that much as neither of us really likes phone calls. The most we'll do is me ringing him to find out what time he's round mine or him ringing me asking what sammich I'd like when he finishes work.

Yeah, he just hates the phone. And he's a kind of intensity person. He likes to concentrate on one thing with all his attention. So when I'm there I get all his attention and it's lovely but if we're talking on skype or mobile or something he will be being distracted. And the last text message he sent me was over a week and a half a go and it was just a smiley face in response to about 6 texts I'd sent him. So count yourself lucky :P. My mum was saying I shouldn't worry too much and my dad was very similar and she reckons it's just mathsy blokes.

Ah yeah, I get well distracted on the phone haha. I wouldn't worry too much, especially when he's so great when you're actually with him.

I think some don't say anything too sentimental or loving in texts, as they see that medium as less serious? And a bit fake? I don't know how to explain it. But I sometimes see it as far too easy, and not as meaningful when it's written in a text. Like, they would rather save the "i love you"s for when you're together - face to face, rather than over use it in texts.

However I love soppy texts xP But that's probably because I've only been in a LDR, so texts were quite vital in staying in contact, along with msn convos, etc.

And just to chip in on phone calls - I really dislike them, I get extremely impatient and irratable for no reason. I just generaly don't like them. I like to see body language and stuffs. Which used to cause me and my ex some problems, but then again - he hated them too.

Meh, maybe I'll like them more when I have a boyfriend who enjoys having conversations on the phone, as my experience last time was ruined as my ex was crap. ¬_¬ Me hating phones + him hating phones = not a good experience.

Last night I was up in to the early hours just worrying about things until I decided to call Josh at around 2am (he's said over and over that I can call him any time if I need to speak). Really there was nothing he could say to help what I've been worrying about, but just speaking to him made me feel better. We then went on to have a really nice conversation about the thing I cryptically mentioned a few days ago until about 3.30am. I never thought I'd meet someone that made me feel just as happy this far in as they did at the start.

Won't be seeing Brandon for almost another 3 weeks. :(

gah, liam's phone is broken, that's like our only method of contact we have so we'll barely talk till he gets a new one.
hmm 6 weeks since i last saw him, it annoys me he doesn't see to have the motivation to come to me -_-
