That's exactly the same for me and my woman :) The transition from best friends to being a couple was so natural and comfortable. It was excellent :)

hmmm. my boyfriend said it to me first.

my boyfriend said it to me first, but he said it over msn, haha. he spelt it all annoyingly, like 'i luv u' and as someone who firmly believes in proper spelling and grammar, i just didn't accept it :P

i always joke him about it now, but he insists the spelling doesn't matter, haha.

we use 'i love you' pretty much as punctuation these days. i initially thought it might make it less special, but we've been together for over 3 years now and it's still just as special

I said it to my boyfriend after about four months. We were out with friends in a nightclub both absolutely wasted, I turned to him and told him I loved him for the first time and he laughed and threw up down a pillar. Obviously he didnt get a chance to say it back and I felt like a right willy the next morning when I remembered!! Luckily when I told him what I had said he laughed and told me he loved me too.

We were at a party and my boyfriend went to the toilet and just walked up to me and said 'I love you to bits' in my ear! Afterwards he said he wasn't planning on telling me that night, but he'd been thinking it and it just popped out haha.

now everytime he's being all romantic he calls me jerk... most people think it's stupid, but I think it's sweet... *blushes*
