Very true, I spose I couldn't understand unless I've been in the position myself and the closest thing was in 8th grade when I really liked one of my good friends at the time but he only wanted to be that and was interested in my best friend at the time.
I was young though and at that age every person you intensely like you think you're in love with. :tongue:
This did go on for about a year though!
^^ Yeah, my boyfriend's told me I am his first love but he also admitted to telling previous girlfriends he loved them even though he didn't. Kinda makes me a little worried that he's just saying it, not meaning it, to me. Although the logical part of my brain knows that's not really true, it's still a worry in the back of my mind.

I've been in love once and it made me incredibly frightened to be in love again.
But thats why I took a year away from things, I wanted to make sure that if somebody came along it was going to be the right person, not the take you right now person.

To respond to Genni (as I was too slow!) the way you worded the friend thing is exactly how I meant it but as you said everyone sees love differetly.
To me it's basically what you said (at least in a romantic relationship) and I agree about it being offensive when people say it to every person they're with.
My roommate has had five or six boyfriends in the past four years and said I love you to every single one after only a few weeks.
I've only dated two people but both times I know it was love, though now that I'm in a real and mature relationship I realize things with my ex weren't more than first love which when it doesn't work out and starts young ends up being more naïve and immature than anything.
The relationships don't even compare really, things with Brandon are so much more real and I have a lot more hope it's going to work out in the end.
I am his first real girlfriend and first love as well, which sometimes makes me wonder if one day he will wish he had more time to see other girls, but if he was able to tell me he loves me after only a couple months I'm almost sure it's the real thing because I know he's never felt that way about anyone else.
