Just wanted to say on Stef's situation, sooo many people have relationships like this, except a lot of people don't really talk about it because they're worried they'll get judged by other people.
Personally I couldn't ever do it, it'd eat me up, but I think if people can make it work for them then more power to them I suppose!
And as for the jealousy thing, I'm the same, based on things that have heppend to me in the past I always thought I'd find it hard to trust anyone again. But it's different with Pete, it could be pure naivety that means I believe he wouldn't ever hurt me, but I really do believe that he wouldn't.
All you can do is try to keep it cool, and let him convince you himself. The more he shows you can trust him, the more likely it is that your jealousy will subside.
But as someone said already, jealousy is human nature.

you guys are the coolest!!!! thank you soooo much! weirdly, i feel much better talking to you guys than people i know
maybe cuz i know you wont judge me based on knowing me personally? who knows, but thank you all again!!!! *hugs to all*

I don't think even your friends could judge you, its such a common thing, to be so paranoid when being in a relationship.
-
i know, but, well, not really judge, but they know more about my personality and what im like/about so they would kinda be quick to assume/decide, i mean ive had 2-3 of them already tell me to break-up with him because of the "problems" ive posted earlier in here
but, for some reason, it seems alot easier for me to talk to you guys on here than the friends i have.... maybe because the majority of my friends are male? lol

Me and Josh have our 9 month anniversary coming up on Wednesday and I want to do something really nice (this is one of the first times we've been together for an anniversary hence the insignificant milestone :P). Unfortunately I'm not really buzzing with ideas and thanks to my bank being a c*** and charging me £125 for being £5 overdrawn I can't really go all-out money wise (though I do have a bit). Anyone got any suggestions?

Where did you meet Becky?
-
At school, haha. We've known each other for about three years now so as far as the romantic setting where it all started goes, we don't really have one :P
-
oh god, all i can think of is like make him a nice dinner and watch some of your favorite flicks or something, or like go hang out in a park or something?
im usually good at these things, but all the ideas i have are like mushy gushy ones lol
sorry i cant be of better help

Bah thats that shot!
Can you not just grab his favourite film, cook him his favourite food and be a waitress for the night? Cheap but cheerful! ^_^
EDIT: beaten to it.
Or do what I did with my friend, I gave her a IOU personally made card type thing for her to use when I had the money to pay for the shoes she wanted :)

Cook something nice? When Jake had no money on my birthday he cooked me a lovely meal and made some sorbet for dessert, and got a picture of us printed & framed for quite cheap :) It was lovely, even if it basically cost him nothing! I guess it might not be appreciated as much if you're doing it for a guy though, haha.
Edit - haha, food is always the answer. Make cakes/brownies/whatever too, nom.
