i'm so pathetic i know, but mine and matt's anniversary is coming up and i have no idea what to do for it, what to get him or anything, bwa im so useless i really am!
All I could suggest is something thoughtful, that's the best for anniversaries. Maybe take him somewhere he really wants to go or something?
I think it's nice on an anniversary to go back to a place you went to on your very first date.

^ The first place my husband and I went to was Shoeless Joe's but they have since closed it down :/ There is one across the street from our place now but it's not the same when it isn't the original.
Going back to the old spots brings back so many great memories!

On mine and my ex's first date we went to see Fantastic 4 as it had just come out (geeks much? haha)
And then on our 2 year anniversary the 2nd one came out so we went to see that and it was nice because it brought back our first date memories.
And it was just weird that both films came out around the the same time as significant dates in our relationship.
I'd agree with other people that it'd be better to go somewhere than buy stuff. In all past relationships I've never done buying presents, it's always been spending the money on going somewhere nice. Out for a romantic meal, going on a picnic.Quote:

In what way are you not communicating? Is it not talking about problems in your relationship, just normal chit chat, health problems?
I know that the first and last are difficult to confront, but once you do and you promise to talk about them, it makes everything so much easier!

liam seems to be spending all his time at his friends house during the week/weekends we don't see each other and he hardly talks to me when he's out :/
also, he's even said himself he needs to stop staying out as much. he's drinking amounts that don't agree with his medication and when he hardly sleeps it does make him ill.. yet he seems to still be out at his friends staying up all night drinking every night of the week :S
i think sometimes he doesn't realise it affects me aswell, when he's ill i can't see him.. or if i do i tend to make it worse.. or he just sleeps all day.
i don't want to seem like the sort of naggy "don't see this friend" sort of girlfriend, cos i'm not.. i duno.. i just wish he'd see it affects me aswell.

The girl I like was beginning to like me, and wanted to be with me, but I messed it up by hooking up with a random girl, and I don't even know why I did it.
Basically, me and the girl are now taking things slow again, and seeing how things turn out, but I'm really scared that I messed things up permanentally. I really wish I'd never done what I did.
Friday... Friday shall decide whether I will be moving into this thread and selling my house and farm in the Singles thread XD
We're both round a friend's house that night, it's really the only chance we'll get to talk about it all.

For those in relationships.. I has a question.
It's been a long time since I was in a relationship so I'm a bit.. uh.. out of the loop.
Anyway, I was out last night and met a girl. But she wouldn't let me out of her sight. She was there with a big crowd of people and I was there with only one friend. She kept dragging me away so we could sit and talk or dance by ourselves and whenever I got up to go and speak to my friend, she'd grab my arm and pull me back.
And she was like that on the dance floor too. I couldn't dance with my friend or any other person in the place, she kept pushing them away or pulling me away towards her.
Is that... normal or should I steer well clear?
I don't like clingyness and that felt like she was being clingy and possessive and a wee bit jealous and I'd only met her that night. But then again, I don't know if that's normal :x
tbh, that sounds posessive...i'd stay clear if it as me!
To me that isnt normal and sounds very clingy, when im out with Mark we spend most the time together, but not all over each, we act more like friends. Ive found people tend to feel really uncomfortable around you as a couple when your all over each and cant leave each others side.Quote:

Mm.. maybe.. like at one point, she wouldn't let me go and my friend was stood at the side of the dance floor alone. I turned away for a minute, looked back and my friend was gone. I literally had to fight my way free to go and look for my friend... and she still followed me... :\
Had she had much to drink? Might be a possibility...

Haha, ah well. I still say give her another chance, see how that goes. :)

I was once dumped for being too clingy, yet it was the total opposite to that.
perhaps she was worried you were too drunk, and would conk out or something :P

i feel the need to rant as this is annoying me soooo *WARNING: prepare for massive petty argument*
basically, the past two weeks i have been noticably down/upset near enough every day, to the point where i'm crying near enough all the time.
so last night, instead of going out, for my birthday, a night i've had planned for the past like million years :P i decided i'd stay in, and use the money i would have gone out with to get the train and see liam in nottingham, since he nearly always comes to see me.
so i asked if he wouldn't mind, and he basically just blew me off cos he'd already arranged to go out with his friend to the pub. :|
this would be pretty understandable, i'd asked last minute and such but.. i duno i just expected more from him, he sees this friend like EVERY day of the week (mentioned like 2 pages back or something) and i will see him twice a month if i'm lucky.
i duno, i just would have thought he'd have rearranged or something, i'm sure his friend isn't that ignorant he'd have understood, all my friends have done the few times i'll cancel on them when he decides he's coming to see me last minute.
i duno it's just made me feel reallllllly second best, especially after the few weeks i've had and especially yesterday with my dog and everything, i really really could have done with his support and BLAH.
enough rambling, i just like to spill the beans.
but basically what annoyed me more, is when i tried explaining, i was apparantly completely blowing things out of proportion, i think i show a valid point, admittedly it's not like the sky is falling, but i could see why i'm annoyed -_-
