How fast do you drive?! It's 50 miles to my home from sheffield and it takes me over two hours and 30quid there and back worth of petrol! :(

It only takes my dad 1.5 hours to get from mine to Manchester which was 100 miles! Mostly on the motorway I guess...is your route on lower speed limit roads?

I really want to talk to my boyfriend, the (rare) occasion where I'd really like a phone call and I can't even ring him :frown:

He's in Ireland with his friends til Monday and I don't want to run up a massive phone bill. I just feel so shit today about my exams and everything, I just want him to make me feel better like he usually does.

No it's the M1! It takes tom 3 hours too and I do 70mph all the way, it's definitely 140miles, so I don't know why it takes me so much longer..?

It takes 3 hours to travel from my parents house to London which is about 140 miles away too. It's straight up the M4.

Stu is 200 miles away exactly, door to door. If you ignore the 30 or so miles of 50mph limit - it takes 3 1/2 hours without a break. Assuming you hit no traffic either. That's all M25 and M1.

So I'm not far off the miles bit, it's definitely not as far as Caz because I remember her mentioning it before as she has above.

Maybe that 50 miles makes a difference?

if the road is empty and i know there are no speed cameras then around 80 - 85 . in rush hour its around 40 - 50 to maintain any sort of distance between me and the car in front !

My journey to work is odd like that , its only 13 miles but takes upto 40 minutes yet i drive at the limit when im moving ! its the 10 roundabouts and the 11 sets of traffic lights that slow me down ! mental it really. I usually go via slow 50 and 60 mph roads to work but still it takes forever!

think it takes about 2 1/2 hours maybe 3 drive...same on train because of changes and such.
i'm gonna talk to him about it again tomorrow but hes working and im packing so will just be a phone call. I would like to try a LDR but would hate for it to end because we tried and just couldnt work it out. i dunno :S
