My boyfriend told me he loved me last week and then he said 'i know you may not feel the same way and you might not be ready to say it back if ever, but i needed to tell you' and gave me a big hug and kiss and seemed content. I didn't say it back, although I do know that I love him, I can't even explain how I know but it's just 'one of those things', I will tell him though. Soon. (:

I think it shows you mean a lot to him if he got a bit defensive about it which is a good thing in a way, but it's totally right for you not to say it back unless you mean it.

Yeah see i don't love him yet, but i really really like him, and i can see myself falling in love with him at some point in the future if things carry on as they have been. I think maybe i'm just cautious becuase of my last relationship and i don;t want to rush this, so i'm hoping that things won;t be awkward. I've been so happy the last few months, i want things to carry on that way!

Our whole relationship is very simple but i really like that. Like this weekend has been one of the best i've had in ages but we didn;t really do a lot. Friday night we went for a few drinks and had a dance, sat we slept in til late, then walked round to town and went to see the little animal enclosure place cos they have a guinea pig one that i love, then we went back to his i read some of my book whilst he watched some tv and we both fell asleep, woke up late, had a takeaway, watched star trek, fell asleep again lol. And then today we went to the arcades, spent a load of 2ps and 10ps, and bought sticks of rock!! It's been brilliant!

Have you explained that to him?

I think him knowing that you think you probably will feel that way towards him in the future would probably make things easier for him and I'm sure he'll understand about you being cautious due to your last relationship

I'm the evil little girl stealing her only son.
I am polite beyond words towards her, I'm always making her tea, and I always try my hardest to make her son happy.
But she continues to be absolutely crude, horrible, incredibly immature and f*cking retarded.

I can't even begin to explain how much I have to smile and hold my tongue when I'm around her.

Just argh, I'm exasperated.

Had Chris tried speaking to her about it? That really sucks, I'd hate it if Jake's parents were like that. I get on really well with them thankfully!

I'm feeling all blah, and all I want to do is curl up with Benji and make the rest of the world go away. I miss him.

So I'm sure the people in stupidly super long distance relationships will want to smack me after this but I need to have a vent.

Next year Brandon probably won't be coming back here due to his parents being arseholes and refusing to sign for student loans even though it's his last year. This means I'll be forced to be in a long distance relationship again, which is something I never wanted. I know it will only be a 2 hour distance which is a lot better than than 3000 miles like my last one and I'll see him at least four times over the year till break..but that won't be enough.
I've gotten so used to seeing him every day and sleeping with him every night I know I'm going to hate it so much. I'll have my license by the time I go back to school, but probably no car to drive back every other weekend like I would if I did, or at least once a month.
I'll probably end up having to take a bus home whenever I want to see him but who knows if I'll even have the money to do it as often as I want to.
I know we can do it as I have before, went a bit over a year without seeing my ex but I was miserable and this is true love instead of just young love. :(

I was about 1.5-2 hours away from Jake when I was at uni, and yeah, it does pretty much suck, especially if you're used to seeing each other so often (we saw each other every day at college & I stayed at his house one night at the weekend too, before I moved away). However...it does get easier, especially if there's an end in sight and something to look forward to. Now I'm back home we actually don't see each other as much as we did before I moved away, I think we both just got used to being a bit more independent and seeing our friends more. Save up money, keep yourself busy, plan things in advance (I dunno how your public transport is over there but if I booked in advance I could get coach fares for £1-£5, or trains for about £6 down from the £20 or so it would've been if I just booked a few days before).

I know people manage way further distances than I did, but it's really not for me :tongue: I'd hate to do it again. If Jake can't get a local uni placement later this year I'm definitely going with him, even though we'll both be able to drive.
