I think they'd have given us one if it was in for the afternoon but not when they've got it for so long haha! Think they might have one you can borrow for a few hours if it's in for an MOT or they'll drop you off/pick you up if needed but Nick's mum was always able to pick us up so no need :)

I went to the Gothic exhibition at the British Library.
It was fantastic.
I took away so much from it, lots of new books to read (some of which I found on Amazon for 99p and some were free!) the name of a wonderful illustrator, I got to see a prop from The Shining and I had a great discussion afterwards in a pub with my friend about it.

Thank you! I'm not even going to do anything, I'm going to veg about and do washing and have a movie day with Jo and it will be amazing. Work has been really getting me down lately, morale is low, I feel like I get no thanks for what I do and I'm just generally unhappy here at the moment. The fact that by actually saying something and telling one of my managers that I'm unhappy has worked makes me feel a little bit more positive.Quote:

The garage my husband used to use in Fife did it. Pretty sure there's a garage near my dad that has a wee courtesy runabout car, I don't know if it's free though. One of the bike shop/garage places in town will lend you a bike if yours is in for work - they'll also pick up and drop off your bike - for a fee.Quote:

My best thing today is getting the kitchen and bathroom properly clean including the floors. The kitchen floor was absolutely filthy! So clean now though it's lovely :) and we've got the cat feeding-area mats down again and a new doormat at the back door. Productive morning!
^^^^A runabout car yes but not one that you'll be driving across the country. My dad would have been fine with someone in the Northwest having a runabout car but not if they were going to bugger off up to Scotland with it lol! Also if a place just sold you something and messed up then yeah they should help out. Never heard of a place giving out a free courtesy car for you to take so far away though, local yeah, national no.
