I think most of it is practise.
the right equipment also helps too.
I'm not entirely sure on make-up because I don't really have that much!

Dunno if anyone replied to those that post about what colours to wear. I used to wear (don't bother any more) Browns and golds for just a natural look, but found greys and silvery colours worked well too.
