My friend has suddenly become an Avon lady. Looks like I'm being bullied into buying something then!
Any suggestions? Flicking through the catalogue didn't give me much inspiration. I have to try foundation on, and I'm allergic to a lot of moisturiser (god, do they have a lots of creams!). And most makeup kinda just looks like every other one until you use them, so I'm lost >.<
Might just end up getting some nail varnish.
I loved their spa range of bath/shower products. The dead sea ones were great. But this is years ago now I don't know if they still do it. Personally I can't use their face skin products or makeup, gave me a rash. But all of their body products were lovely. Thats all I ever bought from Avon in the end after working my way through most of their stuff.
I love nail paint by Barry M and love love love the crackle!! I've got all four now :-D
Avons Supershock mascara (the one with the 3 settings) is AWESOME. The MagiX foundation is really good too, and you can get a tester if you've got sensitive skin. The Far Away and Thaihitian (or something like that) perfumes are nice too :) and the colour trend lippies are surprisingly good & the Avon (not the Jillian Dempsy one, never tried that) eyebrow pencil is the best I've ever used :)
Oh oh oh, and the lavender foot mask & spray is heavenly!
Thanks guys :3
Moisturisers/creams & bath stuff (bath bombs, bubble bath etc) are usually the only things I'm allergic to.. Not that I have a bath anyway.
Might get some testers and lippies then :) And shower gel, need more shower gel!
Stasha if it helps I have really sensitive skin;I react to garnier, simple and that thing in the orange bottle :/. Haha, i've tried quite a lot-for me Avon aren't bad. If your skin is super sensitive though you may have to resort to Aloe Vera stuff, which although nice is pretty expensive for an entire range :/. Avon's foundations are pretty good, they feel nice on your skin but IMO the coverage is fairly light, so I tend to use my one over a thicker base-makes your skin look really nice though. I love their shower gels too;I just kinda stand there sniffing half their products :P
Try Bobbi Brown foundation in Alabaster if you can, I am very very pale and struggled to find anything to match my skintone until I discovered Alabaster! Plus the BB formulations are great and there is something to suit everyone. I've tried Illamasqua foundations in the past and to be honest with you, the shades are a bit 'theatrical' and by that I mean there was nothing inbetween the lightest skintone and the pure white shade, so I ended up with the pure white and it was a bit too much!
