The Makeup Thread

a little bit of eyeliner in dark grey or brown (black is too harsh for daytime) a nude eyesshadow and brown/black mascara for the eyes
a sweep of peachy coloured blush, i like bourjois little blush pot in rose d'or
and a slick of coral coloured lipgloss
with the eyeliner i tend to line my upper eye lids only and then blend the line with a cotton bud or something just t soften it up a bit
also a little bit of white eyeliner in the inner corner of the eye will make your eyes appear wider and more awake
cate eyes can be created by glueing false lashlets/individual false lashes as opposed to the full strip ones to the outer corners of the eyes

they sell it in boots, you can do a test on the site to figure out which products you should use, it's worked wonders on my skin!

*squeeeeee* managed to get into a trade expo for hair, make up and all things beauty... bought my first make up products for wholesale price!!

I now has: basic make up brushes, different shades of mineral eyeshadow, mineral powder foundation that actually matches my skin colour (it is soooo hard to find since alot of the make up in aus is made for "white" people, no i'm not being racist), lipsticks and lip glosses, bronzer (i'll be using it like a blusher kinda thing cause i find the blushers make me way too pink and it looks funny), a hair comb thingy that will replace my hair ties because this one actually holds up my hair *gasp*, and a little spritz thing to help my make up settle ( i think that's what it is for :P)

i've already got a couple of eye liners but there weren't many at the expo anyway.. will have to go looking for some soon...

I personally think day time make up should be really quite subtle. I normally go for foundation, lip and cheek stain lightly applied and a touch of mascara.

i don't really do 'subtle' when it comes to makeup as you've all seen from my pictures but i'd probably go for a little foundation and blusher, a pastel/light eyeshadow and mascara, maybe eyeliner on the top lid depending on how i'm feeling, oh and lip balm or a light pink lipgloss, but i don't always bother with that.

For daytimes I usually just wear foundation, blusher, black mascara and black eyeliner but only on the water line of top and bottom lids

For daytime - foundation, coral blusher, black mascara (curl your eyelashes though!) and then something like Blistex lip tint :) That's all I ever wear anyway, because I'm rubbish at make-up, can't do eyeliner and don't really suit anything on my eyes like eyeshadow.

I meant tips for the make-up for my prom thing xD
BUT all the daytime tips are actually amazing cos I always spazz over what to wear during the day and either wear nout or end up going OTT >.<

I don't think I actually read it properly, I just saw people giving daytime makeup tips and thought I'd chip in ha

Anyway for your prom thing, maybe something fairly subtle and shimmery. Like a nice shimmery eye shadow in whatever colour/shade suits then just liner on the water line and some mascara then a shimmery blusher. That's what I'd go for anyway

lol,that blistex stuff is great :D.even if it seems to have disappeared from everywhere atm :S.
for prom makeup,i'd say foundation,lil bit of sparkly eyeshadow(in a color matching your dress)and a lil black eyeliner just on the top,with mascara.that's pretty much how i had mine for prom,it looks really understated as well :D.depends on what your dress is like as well though :D
