Horizontal vs. vertical tattoo

Would a horizontal or a vertical tattoo look better on my upper inner arm, above my big forearm tattoo?
(those are just examples)

I prefer the cat but not because of the orientation but because I'm not a big fan of lettering.

Personally I like vertical & horizontal but script is a no for me too. An idea could be to make the book tower higher and wider at the base so you get both.

I also prefer the cat, same reason as Boo - not personally a fan of lettering.
