Default Barbell ball wont come off?

This is great when you don't want a piercing to fall out but not so great when you want to change it. I've tried and tried to turn it clockwise to take the ball off the barbell in my tragus piercing but it seems stuck. Any suggestions on how to get the little bugger off? :P

Oh really I'm such an idiot. I put on some surgical gloves and managed to do it. Now got a pretty horse shoe ring in my tragus and it wasn't painful or a hassle to change like I thought it would be, woo :P

It feels like such an achievement after nearly a year of it being pissy with me :P
