Default help! i think my forward helix is rejecting

i had my forward helix/pinna pierced 8 months ago and have noticed recently there seems to be less skin between the balls than there was originally, it's not sore or bleeding or pussing or anything, just a bit of crusty lymph stuck to the bar that i have tried soaking but cant get off. its a 10mm long titanium barbell but there is about 2-3mm space free at either end, the bit in the middle is only about 5-6mm. it was pierced badly and doesnt go through behind the flap if that makes sense but istaead sits like a surface piercing almost. what are the signs of rejection or migration and what are the differences between the two? should i change it out to a bioplast labret bar or something or just leave it to see if it gets any shallower? i love thisp iercing and it was very painful to get doen so dont want to lose it

I'm afraid your description isn't clear enough for even someone experienced or knowledgable to cast a correct judgement so a picture would be great. Have you knocked it or slept on it at all? Because at 8 months it wont have fully healed, cartilage piercings can take over a year to heal, my industrial is just coming for two years and still hasn't fully settled. I'm confused about your description about how it was pierced badly. Migration occurs in the piercing healing process anyway but signs of rejection include... the distance between the entry and exit holes begins to shrink - e.g you can see more of the bar or ring than before - this is the most significant sign
your piercing feels sore, irritated or itchy
    it looks dry
    it looks shiny
you can see the jewellery just under the skin

My advice is to post a picture so we can really see what's going on, if you have a picture of it when it was younger so we can compare that would be great too.

sorry my description was a tad confusing, well i've not really slept on it, i have knocked it a few times, nothing too major, probably about 4 times in total, it does look dry and sometimes itches and the holes look more closer together, you can see the bar a bit under the skin but its always looked that way coz it was pieced very shallow and looks more of a surface piercing to me. how do i post pics on here again i've forgotton. i have got pics of when it was first pierced and i can take one of what its like now

Hmmm.. I see well I suggest you see a piercer and bring the photo of what it looked like when you got it done.

You can use tinypic.com and use that to post it on here or just post a link.

thats the best i can get, um you prob cant tell from thepic but i have a bruise at the exit hole and more bar is showing and looks very close to the skin, apart from this there has been no blood, puss or anything and it doesnt hurt, although i think i got the bruise and possibly started rejection a week ago when i knocked it
