Default Nipple piercing still not healed after 5 months.

I am a male - Had my nipple piercing done about 5 months ago - it's not sore at all and looks fine... but still got white lymph coming out of it most days when I shower!!

I did attempt to change the bar to a ring after about 3 months... this opened up the wound and I had to start healing again!!

How much longer should it take to fully heal up??

Up to 2 years (maybe even 3 years if you're unlucky). Changing the jewellery will also set back the healing time, where straight barbells are the recommended jewellery for nipple piercings.

Nipples are notorious for taking a long time to heal!
My initial nipple piercings were still playing up sometimes when I retired them and at the point I'd had them 5 years!

why did you retire the nipple piercings?
Tattoo's: Star with flames all in black right hip. Nautical star red and black left ass cheek. "Gibson" guitar logo in black - full length of inside upper right arm.
Prince Albert and both nipple piercing sadly retired!

I got bored of them or rather I got bored of the fact that every time I got ill they became horrifically tender (even a soft t-shirt felt like agony) and then if I caught them they would lymph for a day or two even at five years old. Plus my partner wasn't the biggest fan!

I've now decided to get them done vertically instead of horizontally, so I guess it can't have been that bad!
Plus now my health is a lot better cos I'm not at uni catching every cold my classmates brought to lectures!!

I think you'll find a lot of people that can tell stories that contradict that line of thought!!

That's a recommended time frame, a lot of people take longer, some heal slightly quicker!

I can't heal them full stop. I've tried three times, and got up to 2 years with one set of them before giving up.

    That sucks!
I thought mine were a pain but at least they healed eventually! Although seen as they took so long I'm kinda mad at myself for them removing them afterwards and letting them heal up. Now I have to go through it all again!
