I'd say definitely make sure that the artist is a great artist. I made the mistake, when I was a pretty new vegan, of getting a couple done at a studio just because they used vegan ink. The tattoos are okay, but not 'great' - I'm actually having them both covered up.

Back to your actual question though There is nothing wrong with the ink - seems just as good as the other ink on my other tattoos (as far as I can tell).

    What are you having done?
    Je m'appelle Tracy.

Awesome! I'm glad to know that the inks are equally good.

Yeah, I've been looking for my artist for a few months now and talked to many different people and I think I've found a great guy to do my tattoo. I just had to find one who would buy the vegan ink and who had done some amazing work in the past.

I am still slightly debating on what I'll be getting...but probably a lotus flower on my upper back.

I'm not usually a huge fan, but it might be quite nice to get something vegan related.
Good luck with it whatever you choose

I do have a vegan-related tattoo. It's a V with a leaf on one of the points of the V. (the symbol for veganism) I got it at a place that claimed to have vegan ink, but I really think the guy was just lying or didn't know what he was talking about. So this time around I'm making sure it is actually vegan ink.

I am thinking about a lotus flower because I am Buddhist and I love the meaning behind the lotus.
I was also considering getting a key tattoo because it is something that relates to my grandmother...she had this decorative key hanging on the side of her garage and that's what I always remember about her house. I may get that.
I have until December to decide because I am getting it with my sister on her 16th birthday.

I say good luck with the tattoo - I've got no idea what inks were used for my flowers. But if the artist you want to do it is happy to accommodate then kudos to them and yourself.

Just ask, most of them will be fine about it. I asked if it was vegan before I had mine done and they said it was suitable.
