Problems with Helix Piercing! Urgent help needed:)
just a quick question thats been bothering me for the past few days
had my helix pierced professionally, with a needle of course in spain. It will be 9 weeks on friday since it has been done.
It was pierced and fitted with a 1.2mm straight bar and after 6 weeks, i changed it to a 1.2 mm ring. i kno i know i shouldnt have but i was cleaning it and ball off one end of the bar fell off and i paniced and put ring in!
its been fine ever since and ive had to switch to a retainer for school but im back to the bar now.
so basically 3/4 changes in 3 weeks....and now in the past few days quite a big lump or 'bump' at the back of the piercing has formed...im just worried and dont kno if i should take it out? it so swollen i cant put the back ball on the bar! having said that, ear feels fine, not sore or red at all,
im cleaning it 2/3 times a day with both salt water and saline solution
nipple n lip on the way

It's just swollen from you changing jewellery so often, cartilage is pissy like that.
Leave it alone! 2 Saline soaks a day - saline solution is salt water, so you've definately been overcleaning.
Also, try a chamomile tea compress.Tom

Also make sure your salt solution isn't too strong - a quarter teaspoon of sea salt in a mug of boiled waterI'm Rosie XD
ear lobes * 3
right rook and auricle
side labret x2
inner and outer conch
maybe some others... haven't decided yet lol
