    Default microdermal rejection signs?

i think my microdermal might be rejecting :( it seems to be raised on one side more than the other, and on the same side the skins gone all dry and flaky and slightly raised

is this a sign of rejection? i'll be going to my piercers on saturday so she can have a look at it but i was wondering if someone on here would be able to tell me what i should be looking for as signs of it rejecting?

i'm sad now i like my microdermal lol

It could be, it might just be a bit irritated =/ It'll probably be quite sore if it's rejecting. There's a thread here with a picture of one rejecting:

And a few entries on ModBlog too, but they're quite serious and not really initial signs of rejecting...more like right-before-they-fell-out haha.

cheers for the link i was finding it really hard to find pics of rejection

thing is...mine doesn't look red at all, or feel sore

and i've not been over cleaning it because it really only gets cleaned it the shower, so i dont think its irritated

and the one side of it looks like its trying to push its way up through the skin, because the jewellery looks kinda like its leaning forward, and my skins raised at the back of it

the other day i forgot it was there and scratched it which pulled it a bit, but the flakeyness etc. started before that (i know knocking it definatly didn't make it any happier, but it couldn't have been the cause of the problems)

sounds more than a little painful

did you get any randomly flaky skin around yours at any point during healing?

would make me feel much better about mine being weird if it'd happened to someone else lol

Mine is a little flaky/dry, and I've had that around almost every piercing I've ever had so I'm not worried about that tbh. My nostril piercings still get dry skin around them sometimes and they've over a year old.
