    Default Diy tongue web risks?

Ok, HOW DANGEROUS ARE TONGUE WEBS?

my orthodontist told me off! She said something like, piercings in the floor of your mouth are VERY dangerous and a ridiculous thing to do. DIY or not. High risks etc. she basically made out, if i was to get an infection there (which i am apparently very likely to) then i WILL die without a doubt...

Does anyone have a tongue web piercing that has been infected and should i take it out? She scared me a bit tbh Btw i've had it about 2 weeks and its appeared to be fine.

As long as it is deep enough, has not hit any major blood vessels or the submandibular salivary glands, and you have looked after it, then it should be fine.

How did you pierce it? Correct equipment?
10mm Outer Conch (punched @ 8mm), 3.2mm Helix, 22mm Lobe (scalpeled to 12mm from nothing), 2x 10mm lobe, Transverse lobe through both tunnels, 11mm Labret (was 16mm), 16mm Septum, Branding on left middle finger, 2x lingual frenectomy, subdermal implant in hand, Biomechanical Chest Piece + loads retired.

The problem is, that if it is like that shown in the picture, then I don't think it will last very long. If it is faily shallow(right word? it's the opposite of deep...) then its far more likely to reject.

Other than that, as long as you made a decent attempt at cleaning the equipment etc... then generally there should not be too many problems because the mouth produces lots of good stuff(good technical terms huh) so it fights off infections well.

A tongue web is easy and pretty risk free...
It does reject quite often.... I redid mine 4 times until I got tired of the piercing an took it out for good...

Didn't you know? If you do a piercing yourself then you contract a deadly, uncurable disease which will slowly cause your piercings to turn gangrenous, your household appliances will malfunction, the world will shrink and black guys with huge afros will block off the pool in the Habbo Hotel.
