Mine took 6-8 weeks to heal.
healing was fine after about 2 weeks, no pain after that time

good, cus im getting one in june and when it will be 5 weeks old, ill be going on holiday with my friend and his family for 3 weeks, so i wont be able to clean it as much. will it be pretty much healed by then, yeah??
and iv asked this before but i havnt got a proper answer.. well, like, you know the way labret (for example) piercings last forever, as in they cant reject/migrate out; are vertical labrets the same? do they last forever??
    thanks !

they can migrate and eventually reject but i think if it is pierced right with a 1.6mm bar it should be okay if you have full enough lips.

Not cleaning much at that point shouldnt cause too many problems but really cleaning atleast once a day would be a good thing.also if you are going on holiday i dont advise you drink alcohol especially not drinks that contain yeast ie beer etc

From what i have been told it is possible to get a yeast infection when it is healing, but i am not 100% sure if this is true.

That sounds about right, actually... i think it's possible to get a yeast infection with any oral piercing, and, that certainly isn't a nice thing!

Oh, and, as said above, it is possible that they can migrate, but, it's normally okay... the healing is okay after 2-3 weeks, and, should take about 5 in total... good luck!
